TUTORIAL: BOSSETA AMB CREMALLERA - ZIPPER POUCH

Aqui teniu un projecte molt facil per practicar cremalleres (us recordeu de a faldilla Barcelona?)... una bosseta que podeu modificar per fer-la mes gran o mes petita.


Here's another project to have another go with a zipper (remember the Bacelona skirt?). It's a lined pouch which you can modify to the size you want. 


materials:


2 rectangles de 18x20cm  de la tela 1 (per fora)  i 2 mes de la tela 2 (per folrar)
1 cremallera de 20cm 


2 rectangles of 7"x8" of fabric one (outside) and 2 more of fabric 2 (lining)
one 8" zipper

1. Col.loquem la tela cap amunt, la cremallera a la vora d'on hi haura l'obertura cap avall i a sobre col.loquem la tela del forro tambe cap avall.

1. Place the outer fabric facing up, the zipper lined up along the edge of the opening facing down and the lining fabric over it facing down.

2. Cosiu al llarg de la cremallera, rematant al principi i al final. 

2. Sew along one side of the zipper backstitching at the beginning and end.

3. Aixi es com us queda quan veieu la cremallera.

3. This is how it looks like when you see the zipper now.

4. Podeu planxar la costura si es que us ha quedat una mica arrugada.

4. You can press the seam if it got a bit wrinkled.

5. Ara feu el mateix amb l'altre costat. Col.loqueu la tela 1 cap amunt, la cremallera cap avall ben aliniada i a sobre hi col.loqueu la tela 2, mirant cap avall tambe (a la foto, aquest ultim pas amb la tela de dins encara no s'ha fet)

5. Now you do the same with the other side of the zipper. Place the outer fabric facing up, the zipper along the edge facing down, and the lining facing down too (in the picture the lining isn't placed yet).

6. Cosiu com ho heu fet abans.

6. Sew along the side like you did before.

7. Es aixi com us ha de quedar. La part de fora amb la cremallera cap amunt.

7. This is how it should look. The outer fabric with the zipper facing up.

8. I la part de dins amb la cremallera mirant avall.

8. And the inner side with the zipper facing down.

9. Cosiu un repunt a 0.5cm de la vora del costat de la cremallera.

9. Topstitch 1/4" from the edge of the fold near the zip.

10. I es aixi com us quedara, mes ben acabat.

10. So this is how it looks like, nicely finished.

11. Obriu la cremallera (i no us oblideu de fer-ho). Ajunteu les dues teles 1, cares del dret tocant-se, i les alinieu be posant-hi agulles. Feu el mateix amb les teles 2. Doblegueu la cremallera de manera que el plec quedi a la banda de la tela 2. Comenceu a cosir per la part de sota del forro,  deixant una obertura (a la foto hi podeu veure el tap blanc per mostrar-la) per la qual hi passareu la bossa per posar-la del dret.

11. Make sure you don't forget to leave the zipper open. Now you must place the outer fabrics right sides together and pin the all around making sure they're well alined. Do the same with the lining fabric. Fold the zipper so the the fold stays on the side of the lining. Start sewing at the bottom of the lining making sure you leave a gap through which you'll turn the pouch out (you can see the white cap to show where the gap is in the photo).

12. I aqui veieu l'obertura que he deixat.

12. And there's your gap.

13. Despres de cosir tot el voltant, talleu les puntes.

13. Trim off the corners after sewing all around

14. Comenceu a passar la bossa de dins cap a fora a traves de l'obertura...

14. Start turning the pouch inside out through the gap...

15. ... i ara ja sabeu per que es important obri la cremallera abans de fer-ho...

15. ... and now you know why it is important not to forget to leave the zipper open before doing it.

16. Cosiu l'obertura a ma.

16. Handstitch the opening.

17. Fiqueu el forro dins la bossa i marqueu be les puntes cap a fora.Planxeu-la si cal, i aqui la teniu!

17. Place the lining inside the pouch and shape the corners out. Press it if necesary and that's it!

PA DE PESSIC - SPONGE CAKE

Despres d'uns quants dies sense poder bloguejar, entre el canvi de casa, la instal.lacio d'internet i tot plegat, ja va sent hora de tornar a posar tot aixo en marxa.

Ahir vaig fer un pa de pessic per celebrar l'aniversari d'en Fergus i vaig pensar que aquesta recepta, tant senzilla, es mereix el seu lloc en aquest blog:


So after a few days without being able to blog, because of the moving, the new connection to the web and all what involves unpacking and rearranging furniture, it's about time to start posting.


I made a sponge cake yesterday to celebrate Fergus' birthday and I thought that this simple recipe deserves its own spot in this blog:

ingredients

6 ous petits

125gr sucre

125gr farina

10 gr llevat en pols

6 small eggs

125gr caster sugar

125gr self-raising flour

10 gr baking powder

1. Batre els ous amb el sucre fins que quedi una massa blanca i voluminosa.

2. Tamisar la farina i el llevat 3 vegades i anar afegint-ho a la massa d'ou molt a poc a poc i remenant amb una espatula.

3. Abocar-ho en un motlle umtat amb mantega i paper vegetal i coure-ho al forn durants uns 30-40 minuts a 180C.

4. Quan estigui fred, podeu tallar-lo per la meitat i posar mermelada de gerds i nata muntada. Decoreu-lo amb mes nata a sobre i unes quantes maduixes, gerds i avajoneres...

1. Beat the eggs and the sugar until they become very pale and have doubled its volume.

2. Sift the flour and baking powder 3 times before adding them to the egg mixture very slowly (one spoonful at a time) and fold it with a spatula.

3. Pour the mixture into a greased tin and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180C.

4. When it cools down, cut it and fill it with raspberry jam and cream. Decorate the top with cream, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

GLASS PAINTING - PINTURA SOBRE VIDRE

Fa temps que vaig pintar aquestes fucsias sobre una ampolla de tequila que vaig trobar. De tant en tant sempre et topes amb ampolles maques que pots reciclar pintant-les i fer-les servir de jerro. De vegades hi poso una espelmeta.

El material que vaig utilitzar es facil de trobar, nomes necessites un tub de guta, que pot ser negre, platejada o daurada, i pintures per pintar vidre. Jo no faig servir pinzell, amb un escuradents vaig fent correr la pintura cap alla on vull.

I painted this tequila bottle with fuchsias a while ago. Once in a while you come across really nice bottles that you can recycle. I like painting them and using them as vases or putting a tealight in.

The material I used here is not hard to find. You'll need a liner tube, it comes in black, silver or gold, and regular glass paints. I don't like using a brush, so instead I use  toothpick to spread the paint.

FATHER'S DAY - DIA DEL PARE

Abans de que s'acabi el dia us he d'ensenyar el que he fet!

La Hana ja li ha donat al seu pare i jo haure d'esperar a dimarts per donar-li al meu.

Tenia unes cartulines molt gruixudes, de les que fan servir per fer els passepartouts, i he fet servir fotos de la Hana. Era dificil triar les fotos, en tinc tantes! Al final aixo es el que ha sortit, no ho volia fer massa carregat, prefereixo les coses senzilles.

Ara m'haure de pensat quin sera el proper projecte!

Before the day comes to an end, I had to show you this!

Hana has already given it to her da, but I'll have to wait until tuesday before I can give it to mine.

I had some hard card, the one they use for framing, so I decided to add some of Hana's photos. It was quite hard to pick one, I have so many! So this is the final product, I didn't want to use too many things, I like keeping things simple.

Now I'll be thinking on my next project!

Vaig comprar un parell de revistes de Scrapbooking, d'aquelles que et donen uns quants papers i cosetes per fer alguns dels projectes que ensenyen, pero les he desat en una de les desenes de caixes que tenim per fer el trasllat. Aixi que avui, he comprat dues mes i ja m'hi vull posar!

El diumenge dia 20, es el dia del pare aqui a Irlanda, i com que el meu pare ens ve a visitar el dimarts, he pensat de fer-li un detall de benvinguda. Tambe vull preparar un altre detall per a la Hana,  perque li doni al seu pare...

Us ensenyo aqui el material que tinc, que m'ha vingut amb la revista, i crec que alguna cosa li podre afegir (despres de visitar mil vegades mes les meves colegues blocaires per agafar mes idees...!!!)

I bought a couple of those Scrapbook magazines that come with a small kit to get you started, but I put them in one of the many boxes we have for the moving. So today, I went to town and bought another couple and this time I am going to be making something! I'll have to visit my colleagues' blogs again to get more ideas...

Since it is Father's Day next Sunday here in Ireland, I'd like to make a card or something small for my dad who is visiting on Tuesday. I will make something for Hana too, so she can give it to her daddy...
